Amazing a Bent Creek Lodge (Asheville, North Carolina)

This was our first ever bed and breakfast and we fell in love with it. The first day I saw a fawn behind the building. The breakfast were AMAZING. The Granola is to die for. The room was super clean and we were in a great location near Brevard. The owner was very helpful with any plans we had. He would show us the map and suggest where the good hiking or outdoor activities were. Will definitely return!!

Shhhh, don't tell anyone... This one's a gem! a Innisfree Bed & Breakfast By-The-Lake (Cashiers, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il luglio 17, 2017

First timers here... Spent two nights at Innisfree B&B (July 2017) and we were bowled over by Henry and Clare's friendly hospitality and charming personalities. Rooms/apartments were well-maintained and charming as well, compact but with open floor plans that avoided the cramped feeling some B&B's have. Our unit, located on one side of the guest cottage, was all on one floor, but the hillside location made it possible to have a ground floor entry and a 2nd floor balcony. The spectacular view overlooked a charming wooded area, with the horizon ringed with the mountains surrounding Lake Glenville (although views of the lake itself were hidden by the treeline). Our activities included exploring the property, hiking a local nature trail and renting a pontoon boat on Lake Glenville. Dinner at Mica's (family-style) Restaurant and the (more expensive) Orchard, both well worth the trip with varied choices well-prepared food. Overall, perhaps our best "short-hop" vacation experience ever. Will go back!

Expectations Exceeded Once Again! a Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il luglio 13, 2017

We returned to Abbington Green for a long anniversary weekend, and our second trip was just as amazing as the first one two years ago! Innkeepers Nick and Steve always ensure that their beautiful home and gardens are perfect. Carey, General Manager, and the kitchen and housekeeping staff were awesome as well. We thoroughly enjoyed Nick's scrumptious breakfasts and social hour treats. Abbington Green is our favorite place to stay in the U.S.!! We can't wait to return!!

Great place to stay! a Grandview Lodge (Waynesville, North Carolina)

We had a reunion in the area & over 15 of our family members stayed at the Grandview Lodge for the weekend. Jeffrey & Breanna couldn't have been more accommodating to our group which included a handful of children. The rooms were clean, comfortable & affordable. The breakfast was hearty & tasty. We particularly enjoyed gathering on the huge porch at night. The lodge is only a short drive to downtown Waynesville & other attractions in the area. We look forward to returning & highly recommend it!

This was my second stay in this lovely inn. The hosts are congenial; the inn is lovely and the food is delicious. Really the best breakfast I have ever had at an inn of any sort, and I have stayed in many. Claudia is a fantastic chef and and very willing to work around food allergies and preferences. Our Romantic 4th of July Birthday Getaway a Albemarle Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

4,4 Recensione postata il luglio 10, 2017

My husband and I approached this stately looking white southern Inn in Asheville, NC and we knew immediately it was going to be a great stay; and we were not disappointed . The host and hostess were extremely courteous and accommodating from the start, could not do enough to please us. Surprised me with a cake on my birthday morning and arranged a massage for my husband and I, made fantastic dinner arrangements and even when I lost a make-up bag, they found it and mailed it to me. Their breakfasts were superb, beds were really comfy and the Inn is in a great location. Highly recommended and we would stay there again. Nancy and John Carpitella

Amazing B&B in the heart of Asheville! a Crooked Oak Mountain Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il luglio 05, 2017

The Crooked Oak Mountain Inn is one of the most beautiful and serene B&B’s in which we’ve ever stayed. Innkeepers Patti and Bear made us feel so welcome and right at home from the moment we pulled into the driveway. They were so accommodating, preparing a delicious vegan breakfast for our party each of the days we were there, and giving us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and attractions to visit in and around Asheville. We can’t wait to visit again!

Heaven on Earth a Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il luglio 01, 2017

We have been to many B&Bs, but Abbington Green takes first place in our minds. Nick and his staff go beyond to provide a great experience for their guests. If you are going to do Asheville the place to stay is AG B&B. The rooms are spotless and define a period in time which is authentic and follows what Nick himself would like if he went to a B&B. His breakfasts are superb. They are not just put on the table, they are lovingly prepared and explained to the guests what it is - you can feel the great pride that Nick has for his creations. He also prepares a 5pm social hour inclusive of local beers (Asheville is the home of at least 5 local breweries), excellent wines and a sampling of food to taste. This includes cheeses, sausage, specialty items like mac and cheese balls (delicious). Abbington Green is also pet friendly. Nick has 3 units in the carriage house which welcome pets. So do not be afraid to bring your dog or cat. Things that you may not even think about are at Abbington, such as the water that you drink and shower with is filtered. There are several gardens on the premises, some of which contain herbs and vegetables which he uses in his prepared meals. However, it is worth a walk thru just to see the variety of plants that surround this villa. There is a full length porch to sit and converse with other guest while enjoying his social hour. On the porch are the dulcet tones of a wind chime which is soothing and welcoming. This home is in the Montfort section which is only about a mile into the center of Asheville. I have said enough except for the willingness of Nick and his staff to please every guest and treat them as family. Nick will bend over backwards to get you into restaurants and also provides tickets to various attractions so you do not have to stand on line.

Awesome staff a Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

Nick, the innkeeper is wonderful and so helpful. He pays attention to the smallest details to make your stay memorable. He made our dinner reservations at a wonderful Italian restaurant, and much to our surprise, had the restaurant put a congratulatory message in their menu board for our anniversary. Carey and Zack were great as well and so attentive. Great place to stay

My wife and I wanted a quick getaway before the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We visited Abbington Green at Christmas and decided to return in May. As before, Nick was a consummate host, great breakfast provider and his dinner suggestions were spot on. While not in downtown Asheville, it is a short walk or drive and offers the best of both worlds. It was a great and relaxing stay and we will return again.

Best B & B Ever a Brookside Mountain Mist Inn (Waynesville, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il giugno 02, 2017

We stay at Brookside Mountain Mist for 3 nights and loved it. The mountain views from the back patio and living room are amazing. I love sitting on the patio in the morning with my coffee and the afternoon with my wine. The rooms are so clean and comfortable we did not want to leave. The breakfast are outstanding and wonderful. I had to buy a cookbook. We did order an intimate Dinner for 2 and loved all 4 courses, well worth it and you don't have to bother with the crowds in the restaurants. We will be back.

And on-Reid Inn a Andon-Reid Inn (Waynesville, North Carolina)

5 Recensione postata il maggio 28, 2017

Great B&B. Have stayed at many and this is one of the best. Hosts attention and though on what amenities might be wanted was amazing. Neat town location and then only a 30 minute drive if you wish to go over to Asheville. Plenty of cute shops and restaurants in Waynesville though if you are staying for just a couple of days. If longer, probably want to venture further as it's a small town. We totally enjoyed our 3 night stay there and I highly recommend it.

Perfect Place to Recover from a Tough Hike a Laughing Heart Lodge (Hot Springs, North Carolina)

4,8 Recensione postata il maggio 26, 2017

My family and I stayed one night at the Laughing Heart Lodge after hiking on the Appalachian Trail for three days. It rained for nearly the entire trip, so we were grateful to have such a lovely place to recover from the enjoyable, but difficult hike. The first great thing about the lodge was its location: we were able to see the sign for the lodge from the Trail itself, which meant a short walk to shelter (as it was still raining). Once we were promptly booked in, we were shown to our excellent rooms. The rooms (we stayed in Monarch and Cardinal) struck a perfect balance between historical charm and modern convenience. As you can see from the photos, the furniture has a great "small town southern charm" vibe to it, and that carries through in person. But if you worry that that vibe means missing out on modern comforts, you would be wrong! The bathrooms were both very modern, with attractive, clean showers. Cardinal also featured an electric fireplace, which was perfect for drying out our wet boots and socks. The best aspect of our stay, though, was the service. Right from the get-go, we were made to feel at home, despite our soggy and dirty appearance coming from the trail. Karen was very helpful in helping us figure out where to eat and what to do in the area, and very accommodating to any requests that we made. She was also an excellent cook. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, despite the fact that we were the only guests eating (we stayed on a Wednesday night): cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade granola, eggs, and biscuits. Everything was delicious. The lodge also offered free water, coffee, and tea 24/7 in the dining room, which was a nice perk. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. The lodge and grounds were beautiful and the service was excellent. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area - and the fact that the lodge is so great makes it more likely that I'll find myself in Hot Springs again!
