Old City House is still, as the owner admitted, a work in progress and there are little repairs (e.g. paint touch-ups) that need to be completed. We booked the smallest room and it was sweet but dark. The restaurant is the BEST! And the included breakfasts were ample enough to hold us till dinner. The staff was friendly, cheerful and always helpful. A little gem.

My Mom, basset hound (Daisy Lynn) and I stayed in 2 rooms. Daisy Lynn and I had the Augustin and my Mom had the Cordova. They are both dog friendly but I picked the Augustin because it is on the first floor and made it very easy to walk across the street to a large patch of grass on the side of the Lightner museum. My Mom's room was at the top of a steep flight of steps so make sure you can climb stairs because there is no elevator. The ACs in both rooms were top notch. There is a dog friendly outside dining area that is stunning and Juan and Christopher tend to the gardens which are breathtaking. The complimentary wine and cheese happy hour is a delight. We did not eat dinner at the Inn but it does get rave reviews. Breakfast is not until 9:00. We were served each morning by the Innkeeper Christopher. In our entire month on the road we never reached the level of breakfast that was served at the Old City Inn. Daisy Lynn, my basset hound was even served water in a silver bowl and a platter of bacon. Yes, a platter!!! Saint Augustine seems to be a very dog friendly city and the Old City Inn is authentic and near everything. We parked the car and never used it again. Thank you Juan and Christopher for loving this Inn so much. As guests, we could feel how special this place is. We will be back to enjoy more of the enchanting hospitality...Love Cat, Hilda and Daisy Lynn Rudert #bassethoundtown

Juan makes guests feel welcome and appreciated from check in to check out. Room was light and airy with old-world appointments; spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. Verandas with picturesque views of greenery, orchids and hibiscus. The cozy dining room was the perfect backdrop for an ice-cold martini, savory bread with rich toppings and expertly prepared pasta carbonara.

Great location in Old Town St. Augustine. Can walk to anywhere in town including the fort. And have free parking. Restaurant is outstanding - excellent presentation and great entrees. The wine and cheese at end of day is really nice. Would stay there again. Hosts are really great - great service.

Our stay at Old City House was lovely!! Easy and quick check-in, perfect location downtown, especially during Nights of Lights. I didn't even realize our room (the Lightner) had a balcony and perfect side view of the college and lights in the Lightner Museum front. Our breakfast was outstanding. Multi- course, filling but not heavy, fresh, flavorful and delicious. And while they usually serve in dining room, they were so nice to accommodate us to let us sit on the outside patio. The weather was perfect and we live up north so we were glad to enjoy some warm fresh air, a nice break from our midwest winter! I wish we had more time there, would love to have taken advantage of the bicycles. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Husband and I like to go to St. Augustine several times a year for short getaways but we especially love it around the holidays. We typically stay in different BedandBreakfast but I think we found our favorite. The inn is so centrally located. Parking is easy and free...amazing for the location. Are stay was the St. George suite. The room is large and well appointed with amazing accessories. Plenty of room to store clothing and a huge jacuzzi tub, but well set off in the corner to not break the line of "old world feel". The bathroom has a huge walk-in shower and counter space for toiletries. The breakfast is all you could ask for and the wine and cheese social is wonderful. We did not have time to eat in the restaurant but it has a full bar and a nice wine list and was full every night. The outside patio was comfortable and convenient. The owners and the staff was fantastic and our bartender was so very interesting and interactive. My husband and I both agreed that we would be hard pressed to say anywhere else while we visit one of our favorite towns.
