mix all dry ingredients ( not the raisins and cranberries)in a small bowl.
mix the wet ingredients
mix wet and dry together, don't beat but make sure all the dry mixture is incorporated in the wet.
add the raisins and cranberries and the fennel
bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. It is ready when you can stick a dry straw or knife in the center and it comes out dry.
let cool, cut in wedges and serve with butter.
