  • 2 ripe pears
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 8 white bread slices
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup


  1. Place a layer of thinly-sliced unpeeled pears in the botton of each will-buttered ramekin.
  2. Sprinkle on a few chopped pecans and add a little maple syrup.
  3. Cut rounds of bread with biscuit cutter or glass to just fit ramekins.
  4. Beat eggs with cream, Dip rounds of bread in mixture and place two rounds in each ramekin.
  5. Bake about 15 minutes until golden and puffy in 425 degree oven. Invert on plate to serve.
