Enjoying the scenery and charm of this unique inn was a wonderful way for us to celebrate a special anniversary. We loved that it is located in a quiet area with the ocean across the street. We had a front room, so listening to the crash of waves every night was fantastic.

Ben is the ultimate host and tour guide, providing a personalized experience of this beautiful area. Breakfasts are delectable, with herbs and garnish straight from his garden. Breathtaking views, sounds and smells of ocean, meadows and wildlife are right outside your window. Expect accommodations to be quirky and quaint, characteristic of an older home, but loaded with charm and ambiance. Take the ferry to see the rest of Acadia National Park and you will be wowed with more views and wildlife without the traffic. A memorable and lovely stay!

We enjoyed the calm and originality of the location on Schoodic Peninsula. We took the boat from Winther Harbour to Bar Harbour - so fine, and rented bicycles. We also had a fine day exploring Schoodic.

Very quaint but lovely rooms. Loved the view from the rocking chairs in our room. Fabulous breakfast. They even made a special breakfast for my husband who refuses to eat vegetables. Would absolutely stay there again1

The proprietor (Ben) started us off right by giving us a great summary of the events in the area. The staff (Dolly in particular) was very friendly and helpful - she really set a nice tone. The home/room we stayed in was perfect - overlooking the ocean. Just hearing the waves crash against the shore at night made for two great nights of sleep! We also loved the trails that were part of the property - what a nice touch! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future if we had the opportunity.
