The Historic B&B was adequate for our needs. We enjoyed visiting New Mexico, to include Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos for the first time. The B&B was easily reached from the airport, was centrally located for our needs and desires, was neat and clean and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed meeting other guests as well as the B&B owners. In all ways our room, bathroom and the house met or exceeded our expectations.

Lovely old houses. Comfortable, but smallish room, though adjoining sitting room made up for this (Ivy Room). Shower is a bathtub and is a little tricky to negotiate, (for older folks)

We had an awesome stay at the Spy House! Everything was perfect from our check in to breakfast. By far the most comfortable place we stayed on our trip through New Mexico. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. Kara and Steve are excellent hosts! Thanks so much for everything! We look forward to staying with you again next time we're in Albuquerque.

Beautiful property, excellent room. We stayed in the Gold Room, which had a separate little room for our son. Roxana in housekeeping prepared the room beautifully, and Cara was an excellent hostess, knowledgeable about the area with great suggestions of what to go see. The breakfast was delicious and homemade. The B&B is close to Roosevelt park, which is gorgeous and shady, has a playground for kids and disc golf course for adults. The B&B is also not far from the Explora museum, a wonderful hands-on science museum that was fun for me and my son. All in all, we had a great experience, and I highly recommend this B&B (they even have a jacuzzi!)

Steve and Kara have done wonderful things with these two old houses. Together, they have created a fairy palace, an enchanting get away on the edge of the busy city. Alas, the palace housekeeping doesn't bear close examination: dirt and dust. gritty showers abound. When a room is cleaned, it sparkles, but the maids seem to have trouble keeping up with the demands of their job. Breakfast is another matter. The quality varies from day to day, and is usually best when the hosts take charge. As it is. this B&B is a great place to stay if you are in town for business or as a tourist, but it is only practically perfect.

We were very impressed by all of the amenities, how well run the B & B was, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of the food. Highly recommend.

This cozy and intimate queen-size bedroom is on the main floor. It has a large bathroom with a tub/shower and large skylight for lots of natural light. The drapery and other accents are decorated with fabrics that are a reproduction of the 17th century with a hand-painted border taken from actual flowers in the fabric of the curtains.
This beautiful Victorian king bedroom pays tribute to Margaret Freeman, the owner of the house from the 1940s until she passed away in 2001, in her 90s. She and her husband were the owners of the house when the Greenglasses came to rent one of the upstairs apartments. The hand-painted diamonds on the walls are made to look like a replication of antique wallpaper. The rose border at the top of the picture rail was lovingly hand painted by Kara's mother and is made to match the roses in the bedspread. The bathroom has an antique claw-foot tub in it where you can have a soak or enjoy the shower. The 1800s washstand has been converted to have an actual working sink in it.
The Gold Room, a cozy suite in the Spy House bed and breakfast was once the original front porch of the house. Guests get their own private outside entrance to the room. This separate space has a large chair that pulls out to a twin-size bed. The beautiful full bath is in a crisp black and white with a touch of regal purple and gold to accent it.
This king bedroom is named after David Greenglass, the brother of Ethel Rosenberg, and the individual who played a part in making this house known as "The Spy House." The sitting room that was a kitchen when the house was used as an apartments has a sink. The private bathroom around the corner from the room has the original large clawfoot tub can also be used as a shower. The tables in the room are also said to be the original tables that David and Ruth used when they were living here. In fact one of the tables Margaret Freeman said was used by David when he drew up the portion of the atomic bomb that he sold to the Soviet spy, Harry Gold.
This beautiful king bedroom's name was inspired by the infamous Julius and Ethel Rosenburg, who were executed in the 50's. The spacious bathroom has double sinks and a large walk-in shower. The room is accented in two tones of rich burgandy with accents of gold in the trim and a beautiful gold silk bedspread. There is also a quaint and private study just off the bedroom.

Green Chili Quiche
This dish is unique because it is a crustless quiche that has a layer of fresh, roasted, whole green chili from Hatch, New Mexico as the crust at the bottom. It also has eggs that we raise fresh from our own chickens as well as tomatoes, canadian bacon and of course cheese. This dish can also be a great dish for vegetarians that are willing to eat eggs by just adding extra tomatos and leaving off the canadian bacon. We love to serve this dish with either banana stuffed french toast or our own mix of grains to make a light and amazing multi grain pancake served with a garnish of fresh pecans from my brothers orchard and brown sugar cream sauce.
