I stayed at this absolutely FIRST CLASS B&B in January 2017. I was pampered and felt very much at home: Rossana and Andrew are the best hosts I have ever met in my international travels over the last 40 years. I will definitively stay here again when in Geneva and I do recommend the Rose Petal Inn to all your readers.

We recently booked a vacation to the Finger Lakes area to relax and unwind. We stayed at the Rose Petal Inn near Seneca Lake. From the moment we arrived, we were completely comfortable and relaxed. Our hosts, Rossana and Andrew, gave us a tour and the rules of the house. All the guest rooms are spacious and charming. Our room, the Adelina, was directly above the kitchen. Despite our best efforts to sleep in, we were greeted each day with the amazing aroma of Chef Andrew's cooking! And the food was out of this world! Chef Andrew is a former firefighter/firehouse chef who plays short order cook in the morning, preparing any number of delightful treats at your request. The Breakfast Nirvana, Breakfast Crepes, Omelettes, Waffles, so many scrumptious choices! We were there 6 nights and didn't get to try them all. And our goal of doing nothing was foiled by all the fun activities in the area! Wine and cheese tasting, outdoor activities including architectural walking tours, hiking, jogging by the lake, boating on the lake, and so many museums nearby! The Corning glass museum was outstanding and ladies you must go to Seneca Falls - Home of the Women's Suffrage movement. I can't say enough good things here. Must come back to The Rose Petal Inn. Truly Old world hospitality with modern conveniences.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rose Petal Inn. The hosts Rossana and Chef Andrew were so hospitable, we felt as if we were staying with relatives. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was fresh and well prepared by Chef Andrew. We had several dishes to choose from for breakfast, there was organic coffee prepared in a french press with several courses. We also enjoyed the tapas style dinner which was top notch, as well as the desserts prepared by Rossana's daughter. The location is very convenient to downtown Geneva which has several bars, restaurants and shops. It is also very convenient to many wineries along Seneca Lake and about 45 minutes from Watkins Glen. We were very comfortable during our stay and we can't wait to return with friends!

Recently, my husband and I spent three nights at The Rose Petal Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed very warmly by the owners, Andrew and Rossana. They are so friendly, helpful, and make you feel right at home. The inn is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. Our room, The Mirella, was comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The breakfasts were excellent. Everything was fresh and well prepared by Chef Andrew and the hosts' daughter Marina who is a baking and pastry chef. There were several dishes to choose from such as delicious crepes, croissants and waffles with a variety of options for each dish. The daily fresh fruit cup with mascarpone topping and served in elegant glassware was also a welcome treat. We hope to be back again some day . Anita and Neil, Ottawa, Canada

The Rose Petal Inn is a real gem! The hosts, Rosanna and Andrew, have created a charming setting-- complete with a lovely front porch for relaxing! The rooms are large and comfortable, each with a nicely-sized modern bathroom. The food was amazing! Fresh. local produce. Outstanding crepes, omelets, and don't pass up the waffle sandwich--it does live up to its name of Breakfast Nirvana! We also understand they sometimes offer tapas in the evening and we are already planning our next trip to include sampling those! We felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay and we will definitely be returning!

I could keep this very short and simply write "DITTO" to what was already written, but I'm compelled to write a little more. My husband made the arrangements to celebrate my birthday at Rose Petal Inn. It was fantastic. We had the 7 course Tapas meal and the 8th course was a birthday cake created by Rosanna's daughter (dark chocolate with strawberries), which was simply the best - ever. Besides the inn being a very nice place to stay, the location is excellent as well and we enjoyed a nice walk downtown and along the lake. Breakfast was gourmet and wrapped up our stay nicely! Andrew & Rosanna are friendly and so much fun to visit with.

My friends stayed two night and I stayed one. The room was large and comfortable with a large bathroom attached. The hosts were lovely and the food was great - as good as some of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

The hospitality I received at the Rose Petal Inn was relaxing and stimulating at the same time. The food and company were superb. The room was just what I needed for some down time. A most beautiful part of upstate New York. Mary B., Syracuse,NY.

We came from California, as I wanted to show my wife The Finger Lakes and part of Canada. Our first stop was in Geneva, NY and we stayed at the Rose Petal Inn. We were welcomed very warmly by Andrew and Rossana. We loved our room, the Josephina and spent 3 beautiful days in Geneva, NY. The breakfasts were amazing, and what we liked about it was the fact that we had several choices, and between Chef Andrew and Chef Marina (their daughter who is a baking and pastry Chef), we were royally treated. We did their Tapas dinner as well, and we ate like kings! Once of the things my wife appreciated the most was their cleanliness. The place is spotless! We will be back for sure! Unforgettable, outstanding in every regard. Over the years, my wife and I have stayed in many B&Bs as well as fine hotels in the several countries, but the Rose Petal Inn offers far and away the best dining experience at such reasonable prices. Andrew and Rossana Shanklin, with their combined 60 yrs. of culinary experience, have created a meticulously clean, vignette of epicurean perfection complete with fine china, cut crystal, hand painted goblets, silk and satin table linens, and a gourmet menu that will make you think about never going home. Andrew is a published Chef and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu with the talent and heartfelt passion for combining fresh local organic produce and prime cuts of meat with herbs & spices from their private garden to create new masterpieces with each meal. Optional dinners include fresh local vegetables, his signature sauces, slow-cooked pork ribs so delicious we could have made a meal of them entirely. Andrew is also a Sommelier but he is not one to emphasize this or to rest upon his laurels. His emphasis is all about presenting a level of quality and flavor that will refresh your senses and stimulate your palate. The second night we treated ourselves to a very affordable Tapas style dinner: 7 courses of Andrew’s latest recipes served with creative mastery—a sensory fantasia. Rossana's Daughter, Marina is a Bakery Chef. She starts her day preparing breakfast confections… then she breaks into her creative stride. The result is nothing short of spectacular. Blueberry curd jam on Belgian waffles, mascarpone over fresh fruit with a hint of mint, pineapple cheesecake, red velvet muffins with a special cream cheese frosting… Together, Andrew, Rossana, and Marina offer a rare glimpse of a European family style B&B complete with golden age china, a charming and intelligent hostess, and an outstanding menu with unmatched hospitality and reminiscences of her family heritage in four languages. We can’t wait to go back.
