We had a blast staying at the Ant Street Inn! he place is full of charm, the staff and owners are friendly, and the room was perfect. hat more can anyone want? The Savannah room was both spacious and cozy, and we loved the upstairs sitting room, equipped with wonderfully dark coffee and delicious cupcakes. We also had fun exploring Brenham, visiting the places the Inn's owner suggested. I will definitely be looking for another excuse to stay in the future.

The Ant Street Inn is right in the middle of historic downtown Brenham, Texas with lots of old town shops and plenty of home style restaraunts all in walking distance. We stayed in the San Antonio room with antique furnishings, stained glass,Queen size Canopy bed,old doors, especially the 10 ft tall doors. We enjoyed sitting outside our room in the wonderful rocking chairs on the back veranda overlooking the gardens and fountain. We relaxed in a large jucuzzi tub for two, we enjoyed the wet bar with the sodas, waters and Blue Bell ice cream,The Keurig pot and variety of coffees. I drink decaf in the evenings and they didn't have any stocked so they brought me some from their home. "Wow" now that's hospitality. We had free breakfast both mornings we were there which is served in the restaurant in the inn.We ordered off of the menu. There was a room upstairs with lots of board games, movies, books, coffees. Another room with blue bell ice cream, pop corn, waters etc. champagne and snacks were served in the evening. I could go on and on about this place and the owners but I better stop. We will definitely be back.

Opulent rooms - leaded glass, hardwood floors, twelve foot ceilings, ceiling fans and antique furniture. Rooms on the back side look out onto a veranda and garden. The common area is beautifully decorated with leaded glass, ornate woodwork and antique furniture. The refreshment area is stocked with coffee, tea, cocoa, water, soda pop, Blue Bell ice cream, cups, wine glasses, corkscrews and a microwave. Right outside our room was a table laden with microwave popcorn packets,a canister of trail mix, candy canes and a basket of Christmas DVD's. The library has a good selection of books, DVD's, and board games. The Brenham Grill (where breakfast is usually served) was closed, so the inn keeper prepared an excellent breakfast in the library and one could eat in the commons area, in your room or on the veranda. Kolaches from a local bakery a highlight. One drawback - for anyone with mobility problems - there is no elevator and it is twenty some steps from either the lobby or back outside stair well. There is one room on the first level. The veranda has patio furniture and overlooks a garden, fountain and columned portico. A myriad of eateries, boutiques and antique shops are within short walking distance of the inn. Each of the fifteen rooms is different so look at the photos and description before deciding. Some rooms face the front and side so will have traffic and street views.

Really enjoyed our one night stay at Ant Street Inn ( New Orleans room), the whole place has the older feel and touch, and we had a nice girls get away. Will definitely return when going to Brenham. The Owners were lovely and very personable. A place where you can independently go and come as you please.

There were 11 class members staying at the Ant Street Inn. We were welcomed by the owner and given a history of the Inn. He made us feel very comfortable. I think I can speak for all and say that we enjoyed our stay.
