Stayed here for one night last week in the Governor Aiken room. Very spacious and clean. There was a family wedding going on that weekend that my wife and I were not part of, but the inn keeper made us feel like we were the only people staying there. Very friendly, great drinks in the bar and it was close to Kingdom Trails where my wife and I were fat biking. Very picturesque setting. Want to check this place out in the summer. I would highly recommend this place!! We did not eat at the onsite dining so that is why I scored it the way I did.

We try to get to the Inn at least twice a year.....one is always just before Thanksgiving. This year we stayed in the Alexander Twilight Cottage up on the hill because we wanted to cook an early Thanksgiving dinner for Grandpa, who lives near there. We have stayed on the hill before, but this was our first time in this cottage. As always, everything was spectacular. The staff is wonderful. The view is gorgeous and we had an absolutely great weekend. I would highly recommend the Inn to anyone who needs a quiet place to go and relax and renew. Catherine Davignon

This is a wonderful Inn located on the northern end of Lake Willoughby, just thirty yards from the shoreline. They are extremely attentive in meeting all of your needs even to include free access to a computer. The rooms are very clean and well kept up showing no wear-out. The continental breakfast is far above average than any chain with a great variety of local baked goods, yogurts, granolas and great Green Mountain coffee! A great place.

Looks like an old farmhouse but actually was built in the '70's. Very attractive building and grounds . Rooms in main inn and free standing cottages on the property. Gorgeous location on Lake Willoughby. Our room was large and attractive, with Flat screen TV, good wifi, outstanding light from the lamps in the room. Closet contained a safe, small refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and smoke hanging space. Bathroom herecwas quite small but well equipped. Best feature may be the superior service from personnel. When I had trouble printing from the computer in the library, the on-site evening attendant came from her adjacent apartment to help - and did do pleasantly and with competence. Much appreciated. Didn't experience the restaurant or included breakfast due to our schedule. I couldn't rate that category but the site wouldn't let me continue without a rating! But we'll hope to return and will sample them then.

We are grateful that Willoughvale Inn enables us to travel with our well-behaved dog. This and location are major factors when we choose vacation spots. The Angler Cottage is well-built, simple and very comfortable. It has a great screened porch and a deck both located a few feet from the edge of the lake which gives it beautiful views. The kitchen was small but useful. It looked like Willoughvale has increased the variety and number of kayaks and canoes available to guests. This added to the fun of our time there. There were a couple of improvements possible with our stay. Breakfast was not included in the cottage rate. Willoughvale should consider throwing in a breakfast for every few days of cottage booking. Angler Cottage lacks a washer/ dryer. This was mildly inconvenient since the main Inn also had no washer/ dryer. Also, though the lake water level was low, the dock height of the cottage dock had not been adjusted down towards the water, making the dock un-usable. We found the main boat dock and ramp workable. Lastly, we'd like to see Lake Placid Brewing's "Ubu Ale" offered on draft at the restaurant!
