We celebrated our anniversary here just three months ago, but decided to visit again for a quick mid-winter retreat. So many places to relax and explore without even having to leave the Inn. Very comfortable and thoroughly relaxing. Immaculate attention to every detail. Every breakfast is over the top and a treasure to look forward to each morning. Gary and Dawn are genuinely interested in their guests and go the extra mile to make the occasion memorable.Hot cider and afternoon treats added to the fun. Highly recommended for a memorable stay!

What a fantastic weekend we had this past one. Stayed at Cameo Rose and enjoyed the clean house, the outside while snow shoeing for the first time, watching many types of birds, chats with Dawn and Gary our hosts and especially the wonder breakfasts. If you need to get away, do it now at Cameo Rose. You'll thank yourself for doing so.

Dawn and Gary made us feel at home with a vacation in our backyard (we're from McFarland). We were so happy with the lovely accommodations and hospitality. The breakfasts were picture worthy and delicious. The property is lovely and well maintained. Do yourselves a favor if you need a getaway in the Madison area. Go and enjoy the Cameo Rose and all it has to offer.

It was the first time in 15 years that I remember my husband finding a new place for us to visit. It was well worth the wait! The Cameo Rose Inn was/is great. He booked us the Victorian Cottage Whirlpool Suite. Pictures cant do it justice. It was spacious, yet cozy, homey yet romantic. Dawn is a wealth of information concerning area events. We will definitely return. jcw

Absolutely charming in every way. Fabulous breakfasts artistically presented. Dawn and Gary were so gracious and made us feel very welcome. So much Victorian detail and lots of antiques. Every time we turned around we saw something we hadn't noticed before. Beautiful gardens and lots of groomed hiking trails through a very remote and wooded setting.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our one-year anniversary weekend, and the whole experience was fantastic from top to bottom. - We stayed in the Battenberg Lace Whirlpool Room. The bed was great, as was the whirlpool and the bathroom. - Breakfast was top-notch. My girlfriend is a vegetarian, and we both can be pretty picky eaters, but the food was both interesting and accessible for both of us. Every dish was superb. - The house is beautiful and is in a really pretty area. They have very nice and well-kept trails to walk around, as well as lovely places to sit outside. - They had extremely delicious hot cider available in the living room for most of the afternoon and evening, as well as fresh-baked desserts for all guests every day. - WiFi service was great - no complaints, and we were streaming TV shows on Netflix for some of the weekend. - Extensive DVD and VHS collection. (I operated a VCR for the first time in over 10 years!) - Dawn is wonderful at what she does. She was very welcoming and hospitable throughout the whole weekend, was always available to help out (or provide VHSs), had extensive knowledge of the area (and by the area, I mean as far out as downtown Madison and Monroe, as well as everything in between), made great recommendations for meals and other activities, and always made sure that everyone had what they wanted and needed. She took an interest in us as people and was really a key part of making the weekend as great as it was. We didn't see Gary as much, but he was also very nice and helpful whenever we did see him. Overall, while I paid more for this than I probably would have for other B&Bs, the experience was totally worth it, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

From the scrumptious gourmet breakfast to the cozy bathrobes at night, Dawn and Gary provide warm and welcoming hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the groomed walking paths through the trees and relaxing swing benches! The recommendations for bike paths, sights and dining were "spot on" and made for fond memories we will enjoy for many years.

A friend and I had not seen each other in 10 years and wanted to meet halfway to reconnect. Madison WI was the midpoint and we decided to try a B&B, a first for both of us. In looking on the internet, Cameo Rose came up several times. After viewing the site and talking to Dawn herself about details, I just felt this was the place.. we were not disappointed!! The Victorian home is beautiful, with antiques and décor honoring the Victorian era. The rooms are stunningly decorated, very quiet and clean beyond compare! And the grounds are breathtaking. Walking around the property we saw deer, wild turkeys and birds all around. Gary has done on incredible job with the landscape and Dawn's gardens are stunning! Roses everywhere, as well as hostas, climatis, and water lilies, just to name a few. Sitting on a porch swing watching the sunset while delighting in Dawn's homemade fresh lemonade and warm cookies, to her lavish 4 course breakfast with organic meats, jams and jellies!! Well, I don't know how this can compare to any other B&B. Dawn and Gary have spoiled me to any other.....as they say...why go anywhere else when you have already had the best!!?? Many things to do around the towns there, great shopping, restaurants and artisan shops. Nothing disappoints!! Cathy S

A friend and I had never stayed in a Band B until this past week. Can you say apprehensive........as soon as we arrived at the gorgeous Cameo Rose Victorian Country Inn, all apprehension disappeared. The owners were so welcoming and warm I felt as though I was visiting my family. The food was beyond description, both in presentation and flavor. The decor lived up to it's name and was so lovely that my friend and I kept saying "oh, how beautiful" about every two seconds! The rooms were stunning, spotless and quiet. The grounds were so beautiful that I have no words......waterfalls, birds, trees, walking paths.....you get the picture......This was absolutely a winner, and We will be back. Thank you Dawn and Gary for providing a breath of fresh air in a crazy world.
